Nancy May Chipman Bullard of Cambridge, NY, passed away peacefully at the Hoosick Falls Health Center, after a long battle with COPD. She spent her last months at the Health Center with her loving husband of 57 years, Keith Bullard.
Nancy was passionate, caring and strong willed. Born March 21, 1935 in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of Robert and Ruth Cutbill Chipman. She was raised in Yonkers and then attended Alfred University where she met her future husband. She lived in Birmingham, MI for 12 years; moved to Vista, NY in 1973 and lived there for 25 years before moving to Cambridge, NY.
Nancy was a magnificent basket maker. She owned and operated a craft boutique in
Katonah, NY; volunteered at the Bedford, NY Prison for Women; was the office manager of Albano Electric in Pound Ridge, NY and was a nationally known and respected breeder of her beloved Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Survivors include her husband, R. Keith Bullard, son, Robert K. Bullard, daughter-in-law, Janice L. Bullard and granddaughter Leigh C. Bullard.
There will be a Memorial Celebration of Nancy's life on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at The Bennington Center for the Arts, 44 Gypsy Lane, Bennington, VT. www.thebennington.org
